Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2N0PAIYTWR7SR this is listed in the review for the blue pot and i think it deserves to be here as well. the pot is great, the stand is great but they don’t quite fit together! the pot tends to rock a little bit from left to right and doesn’t fit firmly into the base. there is a lip on both the pot and the stand that prevents it from tipping all the way over, but a 2% rock is still disconcerting when it is full of scalding hot oil! i was not happy about this at all.

before using it, i filled it up with water just to see what it would take to upset it. the lips really do keep it from going all the way over and there is no way a casual disturbance is going to knock it over. feeling a little bit better, i decided to try it out. it was great being able to heat the oil right in the pot and move it right over to the stand from the stove top. once it was on the stand, it really was solid and didn’t rock during normal use, though i could have made it. it did stay wonderfully warm and clean up was a snap.

all told, pot is fantastic, stand is also sturdy, but the rock is a little frightening. considering this is one of the more expensive sets, you’d think that wouldn’t be the case! that being said, it didn’t make it any less functional, just a little mentally disturbing. i will contact the manufacturer to see what they say about it.

i just noticed that you can do a video review. i will try to post a video of the rock.

Keeps the oil for fondue hot and cooks meat uniformly. Works much better than the electric type.

This is a nice fondue set. The cast iron is really nice. Be aware that the pot is not red completely. Fades into an orange color at bottom. Also, make sure you buy some of that liquid lighter gel or something of that nature, doesn’t come with anything to light on fire.

this is an awesome little fondue pot (i say little but it served 10 people with lots of leftovers). it’s sturdy and has a simple, stylish design. the wooden base is a must have for the heat source too. this will get a lot of use!

I have had this set for two years now and I use it about every other month. I have done cheese fondue and meat fondue. I works wonderfully! I have left the heat on too long and burnt the cheese several times, I just soak it in water for an hour and literaly wipe it out with the soft side of my sponge. Super easy to clean, very good quality. Great for family fun.
