The mirror finish 18/10 stainless steel pot rests on a modular warming base that has a non-stick warming plate with a variable temperature control. The built in light indicates either on or off. The electric fondue also comes equipped with a quick release, magnetic power cord for safety, 6 stainless steel forks with a bright dot of color on the end for ease of identification and a fork guide to keep forks from sliding. 500 watts and UL approved.

We loved this Fondue set! Oil stays consistently hot unlike using sterno. My only criticism is that I wish the pot were bigger. As it is, a max of four people can use it. Other than that, it is a great product.
This is just a small single burner electric range, and a regular fondue pot sold in one package. And, as one might expect it works really well. Just like making your fondue on a stove top, except a lot more portable.
The big question is why aren’t there more of these available. Most other electric fondue sets are flawed in one way or another. This one is almost perfect.
The only problem I find with this set is the magnetic power cord breaks-off just a little bit too easy. Not a big problem for me, anyway.
We first purchased this fondue set for Valentine’s Day 2010. I wanted to make sure that I wouldn’t screw up V-day diner and it worked great that night. However, the heating element stopped working on V-day and really killed the mood. Because the pot can be removed and placed on the stove it wasn’t a total loss and we were still able to have our fondue. Amazon sent us out a replacement overnight and the new unit does not have the heating element issues. The double boiler function is excellent for chocolate and cheese fondue and is a cinch to clean. When the heating element is working there is no problem with bring the broth to a boil and ensuring even and consistent heat. We are very happy with our replacement unit and only wish that the first one would have worked as well.
We only used this item once since we purchased it, but the kids loved it… We made a simple cheese fondue and were pleased with the easy set up and clean up of the pot itself… I like the double boiler method… it allows for more even heating and less chance of burning in spots… shipping was quick and easy as always with Amazon…
It has great features, and a nice size pot. I returned another one to order this one, and I am very pleased.
